So there I am, on a boring Sunday afternoon looking for something to do. "I know, I'll go somewhere I've never been but always wanted to go!". I got some maps off t'internet and at 3pm I set off.

The Giants Causeway was the destination of choice via the A2 that runs right around the Antrim coast from Belfast to the causeway. It'll be a nice drive on a boring day. The A2 is a great road, with some stunning scenary. Only it's foggy today and I didn't see any of it. Onwards and upwards none the less. Problem is that it now was taking 4 hours to get to the causeway. At 7pm I had arrived. To find it closed. And dark. And no-one else around. So I took this lousey photo and went home.

An 8 hour round trip and a £40 dent in the pocket for UK priced petrol. Not only did I not check opening times or weather, I also forgot to fill up with cheap fuel south of the border. Feckless idiot. All in all, a great day .
