actually, theres some prime idiocy on that thread. its so bad its actually good.
i heartily recommend you take the time to read it, i participated pretty solidly to begin with and am happy to say i upset quite a few of them, but then that londonplonker chap showed up and it all got reeeeaaaallly strange.
really worth 10 mins of your time, if only to see me being sensible for once.

Ferraris look great, but sound like something farting.
Porsches are great too, but also sound crap.
If I had (or like most - borrowed) the cash, I wouldn't buy either, for that reason alone.

It seems that there are often a couple of people who turn up in threads which have nothign to do with them and start posting all sorts of garbage, maily designed to anger people then resort to personal insults. I can think of a few recent threads in the TVR forums where a couple of Porsche guys have done this. What it achieves is nothing?
They get to feed their ego about how great they are and annoy everyone else. They also serve to lower the tone of the whole site.
Sadly there are also those who are jealous of what others have, and what they can't afford.

I lost the will to read on after about 6 pages or so...don't really see what the bother is about, go to the city mon-fri and you can be guaranteed to see a huge convoy of porkers(porxsters/911's) nose to tail revving engine's going no where quick only difference being they don't know their in a convoy they just all happen to have bought the same car

youve earned it.I found it all quite amusing and read all 22 pages of it. The two antagonists sounded like they had too much caffeine and then turned on a fellow Porsche owner!

Without naming names, I did wonder if one of the alleged Porsche owning trolls was a certain Ferrari owner that I had the misfortune to come across when I seriously looked at a 360 last year.
Rather stupidly I looked to Ferrarichat for advice and was hounded down by this one individual as to my female status. He incorrectly assumed I was male having fun at their expense.
Sadly this same individual has "found" Pistonheads and as I understand it is continually causing trouble.
The similarities between having to prove I was female and fulham having to prove he owned a Porsche look all too similar.

I tend to cruise up to poooseurs like this on my bike and then just show them what true noise and acceleration is.
Oh well thank god all ppl are not like this.
Dont get me wrong I love ferraris.......just dont like medallions

I think we all have to remember this is the internet and people can say what they want, be who they want on a forum...! Im sure that most of these are just kids having a laugh and pretending to be an adult with a Porsche! If they are actually adults then .........

The nicest thing about that thread is that everyone originally started in on the fezza owners, but because all the antagonists put up such a piss poor arguement, in the end most people were totally on the side of the Rev-ellers. like a riot, but without the organisation.
