Here's a couple of data-traces from my GPS data-logger.....

I've been in and examined the data, which it holds to the 1/100th of a second and from the graphs and the data you can see that at 200mph it was still gaining a staggering 1.4 mph every second

It's a real testement to the size and reliability of Ruf horses.

According to Ruf, when they tested my car, the rev-limiter cuts in at an indicated 215mph which equates to about a true 208-210mph for my car.

With their longer 6th gear, which I don't have, it would be good for about 215-218mph I think (since their demo wide-bodied RTurbo which has an extra 30bhp or so and is marginally more aerodynamic, has done 224mph on GPS).

What's the next challenge then, now you've cracked 200? RT12?

Shame Nardo is so far away!

I'd really love to buy an airfield, the problem is that they were for sale for peanuts about 10-15 years ago, but now command big bucks.

Guy what was your 0-180 , 0-200 as im interested. You may remember me at tv2005 in a 15 year old Saff. Have moved on a lot since then with around 900bhp, out of interest what Power are you claiming. Have now reached 200mph within a mile so should see 212/213 in 1.5 miles. Think we may have shaken you guys a bit but its was a fun day.

Rod,

As per other thread, power is 620bhp, running super-unleaded only at 1.2bar, just as it left the Ruf workshop with it's 2 year warranty

I don't have any times from a standing start. When we do VMax we enter onto the runway from the corner. It's barely faster than doing a standing start (I have checked in the past and the difference was 1mph), but it's much more fun and saves the clutches/gearboxes of the assembled vehicles. A gearbox in my car is about £12k fitted so I tend to avoid dumping the clutch for obvious reasons.......

The 100mph-200mph time was 29.76secs and the 100-180mph was 18.08secs if that helps - I would assume yours are a fair bit quicker.

As you say, what I think is most impressive is that it was still accelerating at quite a rate when you ran out of road. What do you think your vmax would be given unlimited distance?

And, I guess, how much road would you need to achieve it?

With the longer sixth gear i believe the 590bhp 996 R turbo of Mr Rufs touched 220mph or so....(with the longer 6th)

I know the stretch of road they would have done this on, and you could be flat out for about 4.5km or so.

all the best

That is really very ... fast.

Do you know what a BTR conversion on a 993 will see? Realise its a relatively puny 420 bhp.

Figures for mine on its last run ( in the wet ) were 100-200 in 19.62sec & 100-180 in a staggering 12.50secs.
To get to 210 you are at 200 around a mile as at that speed you are covering 100metres a second. Hope for 212/213 this year but Joel English Viper is still way out of reach.

Would win against the present opposition.

0-186 (300k) in 16.7 secs

Mine can reach 210 in Vmax distance but takes 21.9s to reach 186. However Kieth Cowie (winner totb) is sub 15.
Their are some fast cars out their, that dont enter Vmax.
