All,

The plans for the new exhaust are coming together. We expect to be getting our exhaust systems towards the end of Feb. The price is looking at £1275 + VaT for a full stainless system with a lifetime mechanical warranty from the supplier. The plan is to have a 5ins x 3ins oval tailpipe slash cut each side, similar to the existing one but without the inward-rolled edge.

To those at the meeting tomorrow, I'll be happy to discuss your requirements. Others can email me through my profile or post here

Great news!

Please post up pictures when you can.

Does this system replace anything apart from the exhaust, i.e. manifolds, cats, etc? (sorry if that's a stupid question!)

Trevor - does this including welding the damn bracket every 3 months...or, has that particular problem been sorted?

It is from turbo outlet to tailpipe and everything in between. It does not replace the manifolds or turbos....

Rob -- I had the same question and Trevor duly tells me that the Rousch solution will prevent you from having to take monthly trips to the dealer for rewelding that god dammed bracket.

What's the inside diameter of the piping?

...also what's the overall weight compared to standard box? And finally does the design also address the other common problem of manifold bolts working loose and chewing gaskets?
Thx.

Rob,

Haven't got a weight yet. Give me a couple of weeks. As for the manifold bolts and gaskets, I'll look into it, but there might be something we can do on that front. There will be two flex joints in the system, which should reduce pressure on the turbo mountings with hopefully better manifold life......

Just a bump to see if the manufacturer knows the inside diameter of the piping yet.

I now have some pics of the first prototype on the car, but don't know how to post them. Anyone want to put them on a website and link to them?

Looking good Trevor .. I'm missing her even more now ! :-)

Guys if Trevor doesn't manage to get an audio clip I'll take her for a fast run with the appropriate video/audio gear as soon as I get her back - to get something to give you an idea of the noise etc.

Cheers Mark
