Hi Trevor,
If it is fresh paint (less than 6 months old), I
would recommend Sealer Glaze , followed up with Reflections Advanced
Wax . If the paint is older than 6 months use the Pre-Wax Cleaner
first then follow up with the other 2 products. If it is a light color then
the Sealer Glaze will not be as useful.
For a show car, I would use the Pre Wax Cleaner, Sealer Glaze, Carnauba Paste Wax ( for a deeper hue) followed up with the Reflections Top Coat.

This looks awesome! I want to know what products you used and what methods etc! I have a halycyon midas and I treat it well but want to try mothers!

I used my normal zymol shampoo then chamois.

Then Wonder wheels, mothers plastic screen polish then the rest of the full big box of goodies from www.Maxx-waxx.com

The Mothers system was first clay bar, then their 3 phase process - 1. Polish, 2. Glaze, then (on sunday!) 3. the solid carnuba wax.

It was as shiny as I have ever got it but then I went to Hull and got covered in crap!

I think a sunny day, rather than overcast would have looked better.

What cloths and applicators do you use! How do you buff! I think that finish is amazing and I want to copy it!

So the polish=pre-wax cleaner? Glaze=Sealer and glaze; and I think I can work out the rest!

Glad to see those great results, car looks great. We are thinking of having a customers cars section on the website and would be glad to have pics of that beast on there.
How did you find the whole process and are you happy with the results?

That sounds cool. I probably can find a better location for some pics, though.

Process was fine. As easy as anything else I have used. Just took a bit longer adding in a couple of extra stages, but well worth while for the results.

That's the ones. Couldn't remember the names from work.

Polish on with the cotton polishing cloths. Wax on with the applicator pads (ones that look like a bra insert!) and buffed with a microfibre towel and some elbow grease.

I've never trusted the electric rotary buffers, but might be missing a trick there.

Hi Trev,
You can certainly add depth to these pearl yellow colours.
If youve not used a clay bar recently, would suggest to start with the Mothers California gold clay system to get the surface perfectly smooth (makes the rest of the process more effective)
Then use the Mothers sealer and glaze followed by either the Mothers advanced car wax or Mothers pure carnauba paste wax.
For a showcar then add a coat of Mothers reflections topcoat. this makes the finish even slicker.

Told these Mothers products were good, i know my mate who works for Bently certainly knows his stuff.
Ive just layered my finish with the Mothers Top coat as recommended and if possible the gloss and depth is even better, dont want to get it dirty now though

Just heard the weathers not going to be so good this weekend, oh well i'll have to try and get some of those house jobs done instead, i was going to tackle the interior this weekend, nevermind keep the wife happy!!!

All I wanted was the platic polish, though! Got a bit carried away.

The tin of wax barely looks like I have touched it, so looking good for many more applications.

That tin of wax will last about 10 years even with liberal use!
Seriously tho try the Reflections topcoat as a layer on top, it works for my silver so on black it would look dripping wet

Id be interested to know how you found each stage of the process on your car.

ie time taken, how you found application of each stage, and which you felt had greatest benefit.

ps if you ever want to try something before buying pop round mate always glad to accomodate another tvr owner.

I'd be interested in trying out the reflections top coat. Sounds like it is the missing step.
