I really believe the new V8 lotus will look like the M250.
Lotus spent all that time designing the M250.
Why would they want to waste any more money on a new body design?
When they already have the M250 shape.

You can believe all you like but prepare to be bitterly disappointed.

Poor pig.... But I agree - the new Esprit will not use the same body as the M250. The shape will be determined more by the chassis layout than anything else, and the bits and pieces I have heard lead me to believe that the new Esprit will be larger than the M250, so the body will have to be different. I know a man how's seen the clay Model as there was an open day Last week at Lotus and it does look like the M250 very minimal inside, it look's the Dog's dangles Bmw V8 4.4 and may be even the V10 Engine ? Boggy >> Edited by boggy on Monday 20th March 16:00

Yep agree There's no point on relying on either the Elise/Exige or the Europa for that matter, all are great cars but you really need a car for long distance driving in the states. We were out there last year and we drove 165 Mls and that was just down from Orlando to Naples Boggy

I can never tell if "the dog's dangles" is a good thing or a bad. I assume its bad, cause who wants to look at a dog's dangles... Having a hard time with "pants" too, British people don't seem to care about keeping context when using slang.

S Works & (only S Works), Now I'm beginning to understand British slang. You're saying that it should be blindingly obvious, to an outsider, that in your culture men apparently like looking at a dogs testicles, therfore you compare other things to testicles. Testicles = pleasing to you, so therefore everything else pleasing = testicles. Right? Here in the states, the only guys that like staring at testicles, or would compare anything to another male's balls, are what we call "homosexuals". Now I don't have anything against gay guys, they don't bother me, but I really don't understand what they like about balls. Though I hear you guys call your friends "mates" too.... Well, here in the USA don't call our friends "mates". Friends are "friends", a mate is someone you have sex with. So far I've learned that British guys like looking at balls, and that they have a very "special" relationship with their male friends... Care to explain what "pants" means? Or should I assume its bad because the "pants" cover up the balls... If British slang was obvious, it wouldn't be British.

What is there to say? I may know something, but can't say. We probably won't see anything until Geneva 2007 (spring 2007) at the earliest... It won't look like an M250, the M250 was partially cancelled due to the person in charge of Proton not liking it... Or so I heard. I liked the M250 chassis, and body (except for the grin), not sure about the interior.

I hear on good authority that the new Esprit and the M250 will not be dissimilar. A BMW lump is on the cards, sounds like we're all waiting with baited breath for something concrete. Going with a BMW engine for the new Lotus would help sell the car here in California,
because the BMW is really popular here.

Hi all,
Sorry I have put incorrect information on about the new Esprit Engine It's going to be the V8 out of the Lexus (V8 Toyota) you heard it here and I stand by it, there also going to change the engine Cylinder linings apparently or already have, as soon as I hear anything else I’ll post

superb! Sorry S-works, but he's got us bang to rights on this one! (have read no other threads between you so apologies if missing forum spill over!) UK slang is utterly weird....pants IS bad, btw..."it's pants" = "it's not very good" that said....US have some non-contextual goodies too...."bad-ass" seems to generally mean "great, or cool". In fact cool = good. Why...everyone bitches when it's cold! once asked a quite surprised US friend for a fag....i meant cigarette....however he was impressed when I said I intended to set fire to one
