You've removed all the nuts but the bd wheel won't come off.

What's the best way?

A LR service guy once did it by loosening all the nuts, then turning the steeringwheel until is broke loose.

drive it!

I've heard of people lowering the car, but I would be worried about damaging the lugs by doing that.

Jack the car up, taking the weight off the wheel makes the job alot easier.

Try a large rubber mallet from the and hit the wheel from the back turning the wheel the hitting again till it comes free.

With the car still jacked up, and a soft pair of trainers on, try kicking it gently to see if it frees, when it does wire brush the hub, and apply some copper grease to the mating surface. Might be a good idea to check your other wheels.

Loose up the nuts, only slightly, and "drive" it back and forth a few yards while turning the wheels, I've done it successfully on several cars.

Douse liberally in WD40 (avoiding the brakes and tyres) and wallop repeatedly with rubber mallet. When refitting, cooper grease the lugs and hub.

I used the short sharp kick whilst lying on my back under the car after a rubber mallet signally failed. However, put the wheel nuts on loosely or the wheel flies off and rolls away.

I had this problem only yesterday with alloys stuck on a hub centre. The car is 2002 registered and I've had it 18 months. I reckon the rear wheels might not have been off the car for over two years and the hub flange and alloy wheel centre were an interference fit with corrosion. It had to be wriggled off over a distance of about 5mm of flange.

Hit it :-)

When I changed to summer tyres this year I had a small problem. The last summer wheel wouldn't fit on the car. After much head scratching and puzzling I realised that the spacer from my winter alloy had fused itself to the hub and had been left behind when the winter wheel was removed. Large mallet, flat bladed screwdriver and some gentle persuasion did the trick...

Incidentally, I always smear a very thin layer of copper grease on the hub faces before fitting wheels to avoid this.

Its stuck on probably because its an alloy wheel and it will stick to steel it you don`t put copper slip grease on when you put the wheel on ( but thats not much use to you now).
Jack it up and wack it on the inside tyre wall with something like a spade or poke it with the end of a scaffold pole, it works for me.

My Focus did that, had to properly whack it to get it off.

Loosen the wheel bolts/nuts slightly, drive it at 20mph, slam the anchors on.

Also try heating it up slightly by driving it around for 10 minutes and using the brakes.
