Taxi for 6 pm please!! Names Boosted.

The pubs set back on a side road, at the side of the bridge where the road narrows and has railings on each side.

Boosted.

According to this thread, www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=283721&f=113&h=0 it's the Crown in back lane.

Oh, the Crown!

Or, as the race team call it "the jug pub" because of all the water jugs hanging from the ceiling.

Now if you'd said that, we'd have been there. See you all next time. And yes, the chippy in Donington is very good.

What a great meeting - hope everyone else enjoyed it too. Looks like I'm going to Ashby Folville next Tuesday for the classic meeting - I could get used to this going to car shows and not working life style !!.

Was a good meet, some interesting cars were there.
Onyl bad point was nearly being hit in the side by a blind cop car on the way home.
Thanks for suggesting the meet chevy53.

I was there briefly. Saw a few other PHers cars there. I made the mistake of taking my g/f and she started the old 'You'd rather look at cars than me..' moan.

What a busy evening.

A small selection of pics from the meet - I'm a bit short of time to prep more today but I know I do have a few shots of PH'ers and maybe some of others I don't know so if you were there I'll be happy to seek out any shots I may have. Just need an email address and a little time to process and send them.

Just to get the flavour of a very eclectic meet ...

Overflowed the car park quite early.

"Ancient" to relatively modern ...

Part of the overspill on the lane outside. I'm told the front of the pub was also busy and the lane heading off the other way as well.

Discussions continued well after sundown for some.

Some good pictures. From the camera angles you must have been the bloke with the Saab and camera mast?

Yep.

Got a few shots (3 in fact) of some yellow plastic nearby ....

Can publish here or deliver privately (send me an email address via a PM) if you are interested - privately would save me trying to neatly coverup yours and andymadmac's plates. (Given the aggro he had on the way home that might make sense?)
