Hi

Does anybody know of any good places that sell chipsticks for Tvr's?, as mine (purple paradise) is in real need of one!

I think it depends on what colour code it is. I called Ewelme a few weeks ago and was told the cost of making up my colour and the minimum they make (which is alot for stone chips), made it quite expensive! Nice chap there pointed me to Halfords as mine is a Ford colour - Imperial Blue.

Also know that Team Proactive (www.team-proactive.co.uk) can supply you some, dependant upon what they have in - and TMS (www.tmstvr.co.uk) I seem to remember?

Cheers,
Tommo

www.tvrbodyshop.co.uk do paint sticks - not sure if the same - I think you just need your paint code and can order on line under their bodyshop/accessories menu

Purple Paradise is a lovely colour mate!!! Would be very interested to hear if you source some paint for it. My mate has a '99 Chim in the same with a few stonechips, and no doubt it will get a few more before the enevitable front end respray.

Got any pics of yours??

Chip Sticks are those waxy stick things that only come in basic colours. I have a basic grey/silver one for the GOlf and a dark red one for Ruby...perhaps a dark purply (sp?) one would work for yours?? I found both of mine at Halford's....good luck!

RiverGirrl. You should know better than that. The paint match should be perfect.

Yes, the paint match should be perfect. However, Chip Stick does not make the vast array of shades to match the groovy colours of cars we drive. I only use the Stick in areas like lower doors, and lower rear bumpers - reasonably out of sight. The Golf does very well with the silver stick I bought and I use factory-mixed Ruby paint for the Chimaera
