With a car so new would an OPC be able to track the cars history via its computers ?

Hmm. Depends. If I could buy at the bug price, do the 111 point check and get a warranty slapped on it then it's a whole lot of car for £50k.

It'd be worth it just to annoy Nervy.... hehe

Surely the previous owner on the V5, or an OPC could confirm the service history.

If, not, I'd be very suspicious.

I think a previous thread said this was an ex Gumball car. So you'd have ot buy assuming it's been ragged to death.

But if you get the OPC warranty then who cares....?!

Got it in one I reckon .. What a big bunch of car for that lol..

Would you consider buying at full price , doing the 111 check and then if anything comes up pre-warranty it'll be sorted for you?

If U read the other thread this is the ex gumball car but it is sold with the benefit of an OPC warranty. One hell of a lot of car for the money.

Am I the only person thinking that XJ6 V8 looks rather good value on the site also?

Once the car goes through a sale at an indy , the warranty is voided I think ...

looks too cheap to me and I am sure someone mentioned it was a bit tatty on another thread, 50k is alot of money to spend on the wrong car...when you are spending that much you may aswell put more in and get a mint example.......however, I don't know this car at all so i could be well wrong !

....i was very interested, did some digging through some contacts and decided against it. I did ask henry some questions one of which was would he welcome an opc inspection. No reply to date.

Unless it's pretty doggie on the inside I think it's a fantastic way to get the most outrageous /everyday sportscar you can buy , for less than 50 big uns.

Some quick thoughts ... Does the OPC check for range 2 rev incidences during the 111 check ? .. It'd be worth checking if they don't...

You know you'll be trousers-about-knees when you sell it on , if you can't get to grips with it's service history ....

But then , you may never sell it!!

If thats the gumball car, wasn't it run for several years and never serviced? At least its history is pretty well documented in video footage.

A 5 year old car will be on OPC records, for missing service history bit. Ex gumball that means that it has been someone's who has seriuos money so i doubt it has had nothing than the full service's done every time.

If you where going to do the gumball would you not get the car totally chacked out first.

If you have got the means to spend £50k on a car then this has to be worth a days driving to see it. You know if you don't you will be kicking yourself once it sells

do you not think that is just a bit of bravado from the owners . I reckon he would get it serviced in secret.

Au contraire. I know of at least two Ferraris in Canary Wharf which are three years old and have never seen a dealer. The owners are just too busy and don't really give a toss.
