I, LuS1fer, hereinafter known as the party of the first part, hereby notify the PH Run Organiser, hereinafter known as the party of the second part or Mr Jolly to his friends, hereby contract to contribute to this thread at or near a point closer to said date, hereinafter called "the date" concerning availability to attend based principally upon Madonna's availability to adopt my children on demand. This contract should be noted to be of no legal effect except on production of two Raspberry Ripple cornets and a Roman artefact decorated in a late Mycean-inspired pattern.

The contractual obligation to sound the clarion call should be noted to be null and void upon the following occurrences:

1. Any act of war
2. Any natural disaster
3. Any premature Council salting of the roads
4. A slight, almost dry, moistness in the air
5. The absence of throstles singing merrily on the said morning to the accompaniment of the village idiot wassailing a merry tune.
6. The insertion of a sanity clause (wait, there's no Sanity Claus)

well yes, i am wondering what roads to use. our last brecon run was slightly moist, and the more i think about that one road between brecon and builth, the more amazed i am that we all came out unscathed. the biggest problem being really as we also found out last time that we couldnt keep a big group together and we did loose a few back runners, so ideally we need atleast 2 groups with definate instructions on where to go.

thoughts please

I should be able to join in the fun again, and with enough notice, should be able to ensure no heavy rain. Don't particularly enjoy going sideways on narrow country roads and having to clean cow-sh*t out of wheel arches, but am up for the run. Can we not book a nice venue for "Pub" lunch en-route ? Have read terms and conditions from Lucy-Fur and will be seeking proper legal advice...

Second thoughts, posted after rash decision to post reply.... Will still join in, even with snow chains... and like the idea of some sort of route planning... How about M4 - then A449 up to Usk / Abergavenny / cross-country on easy A roads (A472).. then back to civilisation..?

Sounds good. I should be there. Might even bring the Capri if time, money and weather allow.

"so ideally we need atleast 2 groups with definate instructions on where to go"

This is what I meant when I asked in the last thread. Not if it was a race but if you to made allowances for different car and driver abilities.

If you all drive with your dipped headlights on it helps to see who is on the run, and all the Volvos on the road too!

LOL @ Lus1fer...
