Doubt if it will take that long to catch him though this time...
DNA fingerprinting, CCTV and electronic tracking everywhere etc...

It's often been said that Sutcliffe had an accomplice or there was another killer on the loose at the same time.

I've watched a few documentaries and dramatisations on the Yorkshire Ripper case, and can't recall ever hearing this mentioned.

All a bit close to home!
One of the girl's trainers were found 1.5 miles from my house. Both dissapeared from areas that are very familiar to me and the 3rd body was found not far from where I was playing football today!
All a bit odd really, add to that 3 people shot and one stabbed to death in Zest nightclub this week...

The "Wearside Jack" tapes muddied the waters somewhat, but at least 1 witness claimed that Sutcliffe visited a place in Sheffield (a cafe i think) and was frequently accompanied by a man with a North-East accent.

Just got this from bbc.co.uk about women writing to Sutcliffe in prison..
" Olive Curry, from Tyneside, started writing to Sutcliffe because she believed he used to visit the canteen where she worked.
She says she wanted him to reveal the identity of his companion, whom she believed could have been his accomplice. Although Sutcliffe denies having been to the canteen, the pair have exchanged 500 letters. "

I've read a couple of books on the subject too. I don't even remember there being any other girls killed in the area (apart from the ones he was accused of) to add weight to the theory.
Serial killers who work in pairs are extremely rare and I'm sure that's something I'd remember hearing about
