I have a T350T on order - ordered at the Motorshow.

Latest forecast date is end July - but don't hold your breath (see below.

I visited the factory in early March and was told the design would be finished by end March with delivery expected mid/end May.

TVR will now not confirm an expected completion date for design - makes me wonder if it will ever happen - I cannot see what is now causing the delay. I am now very suspicious that I will not see a targa top!!!

: I was told in March the original delay was due to the designers working on the T400R for Sebring!! Wonder what the excuse is now - they won't tell me!!

Interesting...
There's actually one built at the factory (see the previous posts), the photo's of which should be available from the factory soon.
I have it on good authority that build starts in ????? edited by **999** New orders for T's are being given dates of New Year 2004 cos'of the numbers of orders!!
So keep the faith, it will be arriving !!

bomber21 - I've responded to your other thread on this topic. E-mail me via my profile and I'll give you some more info - I don't want to discuss in the public arena at this time

I went down to my dealers on saturday, just to look at some colours.
They said that a panel has been cut out of a car, and that Peter Wheeler was currently driving about in it.
They also said that, end of July is still realistic.
Wouldn't confirm this year though

Looks like the Tamora will be going back to them in a couple of weeks time, so will be Tivless
That will probably mean that the weather will be glourious sunshine.

I don't gain any pleasure from any of this, I would like to see you guys get the car you want.

At what point will the factory either confirm or deny that this car is ever going to happen? No-one has seen one yet and talk of there being a completed one at the factory is exactly that- talk. When I see a picture, I'll believe it.

Flasher, e-mail me on my profile and I'll update you. The small snippet is not for public consumption though, so if you take it, it will be on trust....

cutting 2 targa panels out of a roof is pretty straightforward therfore any delay in promotional information is suely down to either:

a) stopping people from changing their C orders and therefore messing up production scheduling

or

b) technical problems with buffeting / water ingress / seals etc in which case they just want it sorted beforehand.

Or perhaps a combination of the 2. My guess ***999*** is that you have the opportunity to go and see the prototype at some point, but that TVR dont want (a) happening whilst (b) takes place.

One thing is for sure it will be nice to have a t350 with a sunroof for the summer.

Any news on how much extra it will be yet?

Bennno - I've no idea of the extra price... can't remember what was originally quoted...honest (£1500 ish?). Whatever it was pales into insignificance when compared to the upgrade pack....

is the upgrade pack still about 4k?

is it still engine upgrade, brakes and close ratio box?

did think about it, but thought 350bhp was probably more than enough for my skill level!

Bennno, the upgrade pack is available with or without the sequential box, which is a blessing for everyone barring the out and out track racers. It also includes uprated exhaust and I believe some minor suspension tweeks. The cost without the sequential box is £4000 ish - I've yet to see the invoice..

They've been promising that sequential gearbox for about two years now. It was going to be tested in the Tuscan race cars initially but it's yet to appear there either.

See here - www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?p=2&f=7&t=25880&h=0 - he stated that PW said it would be an option around 4000-4500....

Isn't it in Peter Wheeler's Tuscan race car?

When I ordered mine they said that the Tuscan S motor and the sequential box would be another £7500 and the Targa £1500 on top of that.

I'll have a look next time I'm at the racing. It's the first I've heard of it.

If it is...that might explain his lack of competitiveness at this weekends Snetterton races where I watched him struggle.
