This could be quite a controversal one. Lets have a poll...whats the fastest youve (alledgely) been on the road (private or autobahn of course!?!) and in what?. It is proberly a good idea to put private road after each entry just to keep the sandal wearers happy!! Please no bulls**t

210kph in an Alfa 156 hire car on the Autobahn between Nurnberg and Munich.

3am, dry, clear road.

The Italian stallian just would not go any faster.

Pathetic. I know.

But legal.

Fastest in the UK was 175mph on private land in my M5 (real speed probably 160-165).

Fastest on the A5 (Frankfurt) was 240kph in a Merc taxi and 295kph in a hired E55!

All above were done in excellent daytime conditions with very light traffic and are only speed indications so actual speed will vary

Fastest for me was 168 on my Yamaha R6 and an indictated 150 in my old sapphire cosworth. I heard of a german guy who drove his Macca F1 over to Woking for a service. When they plugged in the diags it read that he had exceeded 200mph three times in the previous 24hrs!!! And he had his wife with him...what a chick!!!

As fast as my tuned Sierra Cosworth would go in fifth. Did a normally-two-hour journey in about an hour after scum tried their best to nick it (including following me for miles. Just had to lose them...).

Good lad! Paltry is not the word. me is how I might describe it. Once again, good lad! If you ever venture that way in the Mac please please please let me know so I can give you a hiding in the Yaris. Local knowledge should make up for the power deficit

150mph on the way back from Dusseldorf airport (nice long unrestricted stretch) in a classic shape Scooby Turbo. Now got a new shape WRX and managed 70mph twice and 10mph once on that nice 4 lane stretch of the A1 on xmas day this year!!!!

Minimax are you a sky-diver or something? I only mention it as the only way some of those cars would hit such speeds is in freefall!!

Steve.

120mph on the Puddletown bypass...while overtaking a 1.1 Corsa that I had been following at 100mph .

125mph (indicated but doubtful) in my old XR3 on the day I passed my driving test, somewhere along the M27.
