I always thought that the cerb weighed 1100kg???
It's been done before this, mine was 1260 weighed when I bought it.
A tuscan weighs in at 1100 I believe - confirmed. How come the Cerb is 150kg heavier?
Add on the fact the Cerb is a bigger car, intregal roll cage fitted, extra couple of seats
weight soon adds up.

Has anyone actually weighed a Tuscan?
The quoted weight for the cerb was a dry weight(no fluids) of 1100kilos, so its not far off.

Yes - had one kicking about when I weighed my 4.5. The Tuscan was about 70kg less IIRC.
The weight distribution was about 52:48 for the Tuscan, 51:49 for the Cerbera.
Hi !
My Cerbera Speed six was 1240kg with full tank of petrol.
I think this would be about 1190 kg with empty tank and if you then take away all other fluids from the car it will get another 20 kg down to 1170kg i think. When i weighed the car i was also having some tools and a fireextinghuiser in the boot so thats another 10 kg down. This will gib´ve a dry weight of 1160 kg. The weight told by the factory is dry weight so i don´t think mine is that much heavier than the 1130kg told in the manual.
My friend has a Cerbera 4.5LW, and it weighs 10-15 kg less than my car.
As i am also having boats as a interest and is used to deal with the weight on boats, i guess the extra weight in the TVRs is in the body. Especially if the body is laid up by hand.
It is very difficult to not put to much resin on when you are laying up the GRP. Some of the big boat builders are doing this with robots now and their boats weight is what they say it should be.
My boat that is built in 1989 weighs about 10 % more than it say in the books 3280 kg instead of the told 2990kg.

My 1997 4.2 weighed in at 1190kg with 1/4 tank. It also has an amp in the front and back and a 10" sub in the rear. Although it has no aircon. The Tuscan/Sag will be slightly lighter (shorter body) and the Tamora more so. The rear seats in the Cerb are made of foam and weigh sod all. The roll cage is a relatively small diameter too, so that won't be many more kgs. At then end of the day, 1200kg for a car the size of the Cerb is very light, and is a reason why they are so rapid. I mean a new 997 GT3 RS is just under 1400kg, and an M3 is over 1550kg.
When i had the chassis down to its bare bones you could stand in the middle and "power" lift it as it were, i'm guessing 120/130kgs, the body is much heavier than you would have thought though. Some cars will be a bit lighter nowadays with lightweight outriggers, and engine bay tubes!

That's what I was thinking. There could be a substantial variation in body weights as they are laid up by hand. Anyone got any idea what a Cerb body weighs? I guess it as not as light as you might expect. Maybe 200-250kgs?
