is there a product that you can spray on your engine to get rid of grease/oil etc? i'm sure there is but i can't remember its name. does anyone know it?

Called Gunk i think...but better is Traffic film remover...

Gunk is the stuff - you can get it in aerosol form aswell now.

Yeah, Gunk is great. I just used it as I steam cleaned my engine, worked a treat.

Yeah it is Gunk.
Its in an orange areosol. Places like Texaco sell it.
Spray it on then, let it soak in and spray it off with a pressure washer (Covering the electrics)
or just wipe it off with a cloth.

It cleaned up the underside of my bonnet work and the paint work in the engine bay a treat as well. Just check it doesn't take the paint off in a descreet area.

Gunk will do the job. Or you could try Jizer, which I think is better.

just done my engine with CD2 from halfords comes in two spray cans 1 to clean,washes of with water,then another to protect.Results are v good

i did my car with engine nv and it came out well,except i didnt cover the electrics and the car coughed and spluttered for about 20 mins afterwards!!

So as not to get too much water everywhere, I apply the degreaser and rinse off with a trigger spray, or use the wifes weed killer spray! (with water in it of course). This is also a good way to do inside door shuts without soaking the interior.
