Official pictures!

New Porsche 997 GT2

Spurred on perhaps by the leakage earlier today of their forthcoming GT2 brochure, Porsche has now released these official images of the awesome new 997 GT2.

The car will cost £131,070 in the UK which includes the Porsche Vehicle Tracking System and a Porsche Driving Experience course.

The car will be officially on sale in this country from November 2007.

I agree Fidgits - I think the GT3 is purer in concept and styling, and that would be my choice over this. Mind, if I had that money spare I could think of one hundred better ways to sped it. Okay, maybe 99...

Why can't they bring back the original '88 Turbo spoiler ? this one is horrible.

Don't think much of the fussy instruments either : Porsche dashboards used to be so clear and concise.

Otherwise it's great.

hmmm... a bit underwhelming. Honestly, I think I would rather have a turbo AND a GT3 in my garage, this GT2 just doesn't do it for me. But it still is spectacular.

I agree, the instrumentation may be a masterpiece of technical wizardry, but it is cluttered in the extreme

or a 993 GT2. At least you can tell what one of those is from a hundred paces! I'm not knocking it though, but please lets get a little more lairy agian with the styling of the special ones. Just IMO.

In dark colours, fantastic. In light colours, front looks 'gap-toothed' (unless the splitter is colour-coded) and the rear gills look Halfords. Black with black wheels would look savage.
