I read on another forum that Tom Hartley's make a few quid out of the Caravan industry (Park Homes if you want to sound more posh!)....then I noticed this evening during my daily perusal of their stock, that they appear to be surrounded by caravan's (Park Homes!) - are they based on a caravan park ?!! eek

Lot of cash in caravans or more specifically large motorhomes.

You only need to wander around the campsites at Le Mans each year to see the amount of people who have upgraded from a simple tent to a nice motorhome.

I've been to the showroom a couple of times, it's quite unique as he has his house/bungalow and next to it a large standalone garage, crammed full of nice cars. He has a caravan park right next to this home/showroom and said he had a few other caravan business interests!

BIG money in static home sales people, have a family member in that area and he is very far from being "short of a few bob"

If you are in the position (like him) of owning several major parks as well its a double bonus because you get the profit on the original sale (which I believe is around 30k a time on a large unit) and then rake in a weekly ground rental

All adds up to an extremely tidy sum, especially when you are talking several hundred static pitches per site

Must admit though, Hartley being in that was news to me
