Tracing DB4 - ONH 295
Discussion
Trying to find some photos of a car I owned for while in 2001-2002. DB4 series III. Had been modified a bit for AMOC events. I sold for a give away price with a knackered engine to Martin Brewer, who had his man put in a nice 4.2 lump, retrimmed the inside and made a very tidy profit. But where is it now. I recently lost all the photos of it in a disk drive meltdown. Any help to find it appreciated. Thanks
I'm pretty sure I nearly bought this car 2.5yrs or so ago.
Whilst looking at Daytonas I went to Martin's as he had one in. Then saw this and was very tempted. Stuck to my guns in the end...not sure how long it took him to sell it.
Awesome looking DB4 though, and has given me a hankering ever since...
Will see if I can dig out a photo I had of it...

Easier than I thought
How lovely is this?
The chairs were a bit wrong for the car (big leather covered Sparcos IIRC), but the originals were with the car.
Was a fair chunk cheaper than the Daytona I ended up buying, but as originality tends to be key with these cars, was a bit nervous of taking a punt. Wonder how much it would go for now...
Edited to ask - does anyone else just get a blue '?'?? I get this on a number of images and am not sure why.
If you are, check this link www.c7photography.com/Resources/Galleries/Temp/big...

Andy, you are a scholar and a gentleman. Many thanks for that. The picture does not look like it was taken at Martin's house in Stoke Poges though. It sounds like it had the seats that I had in the car, but retrimmed, they were rather tatty when I had the car, and there was no rear seats or trim at all.

The interior was fully trimmed IIRC. Biscuit leather. And he would have provided normal DB4 seats similarly trimmed if I'd wanted. It ran great and was pretty gutsy. Sound wicked (think WWII fighter). Smoke poured out of the glovebox at one point. Think this was a minor oil spillage/pipe coming adrift.
It was far and away the loveliest DB4 I've ever seen, with it's gently modified arches, no bumpers etc. I look at the pictures often and kind of wish I'd had the balls/funds to buy both that and a Daytona. I doubt I'd have lost anything despite the lack of originality on the Aston.
I'm pretty sure it was up for about 70k.
Lovely, lovely car.
