Check - http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-326313176... for the Watton Monster (Check it off the line - ya I out qualified it - but when you have over 400bhp and about 900kg!) - Red one is Roger Connel (not as extreme as Steve's).

A couple more pictures of the USA Cobra engined Griffith which was at the Growl - taken at the Pre 80's meet last year.

A Griff is by it's very being a Cobra Engined Car.

They started out os Modified Grantura's with Cobra / Ford HiPo 289's in. This Combination IS A GRIFFITH 200/400wink
