That'll be 0-60mph with four wheels, roof optional of course......is it feasible?

A Caterham or Westfield would get you there.

If a sub 5 sec Caterham or Westfield is sub £5K then tell me where I can get one at this price!

A half decent kit should do. Try a sylva striker, but make sure you have around 150 horses for sub five second 0-60.
Caterham/Westfield, but may be struggling on the 5K budget.

Sure there are others....

Search the Autotrader site for Westfields. I found 8 nationally under £5k.

How about:
Autotrader said:
1990 Westfield 1.7 SE 1990 145bhp
engine, lsd, straight cut gearbox, 7 alloys, full MoT, drives well £4995.
Rickwood Cars
Tel: (01923) 283675

I would echo the modded MR2 Turbo. I am no lover of jap cars but have to say they are a performance bargain. Can pick one up for £4k and then spend a grand on getting it to circa 280 brake. Should be around the 5 second mark....

I must admit that that does sound like a good one.
I dont reckon it will be sub 5 secs though.

I bet you cant find a Caterham! (a real one)

Actually, I bet you cant find a good one in, or close to, Hampshire.
Prove it, with all the details.

I have video of you doing the slalom course in your SLR.

I'll chuck it in with the £4999 if you like!

(Its goes bloody quick and the video shows it).

I currently have it as one 800MB file.
I need to chop it up in to relevant bits but will gladly send it to you. I also saw you leaving PotBII on the Sunday in 200MPH. Didnt realise it was you at the time though.

The Westie should be good.

150 hp in a car of around 650-700kg should give around 5 sec 0-60 (taken from a 150hp caterham in the 'cartest' program I have)

So as long as it is not a complete bloater, it will probably fit the bill
