how exactly do you take the rap for someone elses drink driving without police collusion? surely if bib will allow that then they'd be willing not to charge either of them?

My father chartered his boat to a very well known footballer for a party on the Solent a few years ago. Said footballer turned up with a huge entourage of people (expected) and a number of obviously very expensive ladies of night. The party turned into a coke fuelled bumming fest that pretty much destroyed his boat & we had to do some very quick talking when the coastguard turned up, as one of them thought it would be funny to put a mayday out over the VHF as they needed more coke rolleyes
Saints or pompey?
He doesn't play in this country anymore
Does he play in Itlay?
I think so (I don't follow football!!).
Unless you are Ghanian or follow Inter Milan, he probably won't mean anything to most people.....

Ronnie Corbett stands in his garden, pretending to be a garden gnome...
what do you mean 'pretending'
Actually, I heard that Ronnie Corbett is 6'4" but they used to stick him in a big chair and paired him with Ronnie Barker to make him look little. Ronnie Barker is 8'2" and they had trouble casting actors for Porridge that didn't show this up and spoil the comedy illusion. Richard Beckinsale was considered perfect for the role of Lenny Godper but unfortunately stood at a Meagre 5'11". This wasn't a problem when working with the likes Leonard Rossiter and Frances De La Tour but meant he had to be force fed artificial growth hormones used in the turkey farming industry for his role in porrige. Some sources have attributed this to his untimely early death.
I heard that rumour.
If Ronnie Corbett is in fact 6'4" then John Cleese is about 16ft tall based on a scaling up exercise from that sketch the two ronnies did early on in their career about the working, middle and upper class.
If John Cleese is 16ft tall that makes Prunella Scales approx 8ft 3in, Jamie Lee Curtis about 12ft 2in and Michael Palin around the 9ft mark (although he may have shrunk a bit after all those round the world adventures)

Blimey there's some tall people out there thumbup

Oh I see. I've just been reliably informed by my colleague from Southampton that it's BS - Beattie was caught behind the wheel by the BiB over the limit (moved his car from one side of the road to the other and hit the curb just as BiB were driving past) - unless, MASSIVE police collusion....although, if that was the case, why didn't the BiB just drop the case.....?

Tom Cruise is gay.

Lenny Henry wrecked his Cerbera while drunk out of his mind, then paid the wreckers to take it off his hand. <-true

No worries. I'm guessing that this "The footballer who used to show the video of him taking his famous blonde ex girlfriend up the garden path on the team coach on the way to games until she got a injunction to make him destroy the tape. Which was odd considering her record with footballers...." is Les Ferdinand and Dani Behr.
Nope fraid not, the lady later moved up to managers having already got through a prince and the footballer went on to be found in beauty spot car parks at night.

Nope, you've got to go a lot further back in time than that. He might have done a bit but nowhere the reputation of this other record spinner.

yes that footballer that has visited cannock chase was once at a villa do, when somebody went into the gents noises of lust could be heard from one of the cubicles
that somebody hung around for a few minutes to see who it was. No prizes for guessing it was the same footballer and his blonde bird that also has a taste for england managers.

  • A retired England international turned pundit known for his clean image and certain snack food advertisments had had an afair. Not long after he told us this, he split up with his wife.
My GF used to run pubs in the area he used to live, it was more than just one lady he played away from home with.
I had the unfortunate experience of having to sit through his Guest after dinner speech at a Corporate function. His speech was st. Someone threw a bag of crisps at him and he stormed off.

God, I wish I knew more about football. It is so frustrating trying to work all this out from vaguely remembered news stories!

Let's just say, she is from Scandinavia and had a thing for older English managers from Sweden. Also liked to 'Shoot Stars'.
