USD GT-S Passionate

Turkish designer shows us what a Ferrari 599 should look like

Whether you like Ferrari's challenging design direction or not, you can always be sure that someone will offer an alternative image of how the Italian manufacturer’s cars could look.

Having previously brought us a vision of what a new Ferrari Dino may look like (the reality was a little different) Turkish designer Ugur Sahin's latest creation is based on a Ferrari 599 GTB.

Apparently, Sahin has continued the design language of the Dino concept with his USD GT-S Passionate (the USD standing for Ugur Sahin Design), which retains the 599's GT roots but has more swoops.

It manages to look both retro and modern at once, with perhaps a hint of Alfa 8C to its profile.

Rather ambitiously, Sahin is hoping that the car will make it to production if there is enough demand.

The question is: do his designs improve on the Ferrari originals? From the reception the new California received, some would argue that they do.

Wheel profile doesnt look quite right.
Front wheel looks like it should be bigger in relation to the size of that chunky nose..

Rear quarter looks a bit odd in the first picture.

If the guy could improve on the 599 he would be a genius, I think its stunning

He should stick to kebabs and trying to bang young tourists

Agreed, especially from the front. If someone said that this was a new model Tiv it could be believed.

I like the look but has it been wind tunnel tested to the same extent as the real thing? Probably not but a moot point as it would still look good sitting in a collectors garage which is surely where it would end up if they manage to make a few.

You're all being funny and ironic which is what you should be doing considering the piece of crap he's designed to show us what a 'ferrari 599 should look like'.

Do these amateur designers actually think of the criticism they're going to get when they 'attack' Italian car designers' masterpieces ? :P

Anyhow, that's why Pininfarina IS Pininfarina, and Ugur is just Ugur stillwink Thank goodness for that smile God forbid Ferrari ever hired him, all Ferraris would look like that :S what an ugly thought...

EDIT: Oh yeah, uhm. HINT of 8C? How about messed up 1960's-American-style version of the 8C? :/

The wheels look like something you could pick up in Halfords, go by the name of “Wolfrace” IIRC.
