I was just wondering if anyone else has been having nose bleeds over the last few days? From someone who hasnt got a history of having nose bleeds ever i have had 3 massive ones in the last 2 days.

One last night while working on the bar, pissed blood for about 20 minutes and i mean really pissed it (it wasnt dripping it was literly streaming out).

This morning at about 11am same again but for about 10 minutes.

This afternoon at about 4pm exactly the same for about 15 minutes.

I have been working flat out on the bar for the last few days (music festival so it has been really busy and stressfull) serving for hours on end with no break kinda stuff.

I thought it might have been the heat the last few days anyone have any ideas what might be causing them?

Next time it happens, hit the arch of your foot, or get someone to hit it for you.

Seriously, I have seen it work quite a few times.

I couldnt possibly!. It wasnt a fight anyway, he wanted it to be but he didnt get chance to get into full on 'fight mode', he was just flinging his arms about as I grabbed hold of him to 'remove' him from a vehicle. wink

Probably complete rubbish but in the absence of a doctor...whenever i've had nosebleeds in the hot weather its generally been as a result/symptom of dehydration - seeing as you have been working hard / hot weather / no breaks it could be a reason for your nose trouble.

A bloody nose and you "pissed" blood? If you get urine coming out of your nostrils as well I'd see a doctor QUICK

I had my nose cauterized when I was 14 as I used to get nosebleeds about 3-6 times a day. Every day.

Fecking horrible procedure. Glad it was done though. Have only ever had 4 or so since then, and now I am 28

I had loads of nosebleeds as a kid and it was no big deal- now I just go and get it cauterised if its a problem

however if this is new for you it is as well to go and see the Doc as he/she may want to do a full blood count or clotting to check things out. May be as well to get BP checked also.

Stress perhaps? I used to get them when I was under a lot of pressure.

I was woken up by one at 6am the other day. I haven't had one for years.

A few years back, I got them regularly through hay fever season. Real watery blood, difficult to stem flow.

Blood only came out of one nostril though.

Sounds a bit like a hay fever thing as said above. I get irregular nosebleeds at this time of the year but never at any other time - probably a very inflamed bit of nose somewhere with all the pollen.

I have never had hayfever though which is also weird and i dont seem to be suffering with it at the moment.

As someone else said it is only the 1 nostrel as well and its the one which has substained the least ahum damage

I think this is worth looking into as if you are training a lot (or even just doing a lot of sport in hot weather) then its the problem I used to have. Sometimes I would have to attend surgery if they were really out of control. It would usually happen during tennis training and wouldn't stop.
