Like in football pitches ?

I am trying to imagine what something 4 acres and something 10 acres would be in real terms.

Any one care to give a 28 year old with the imagination of a 2 year old a basic comparison ?

It's about 208 feet square. So 70 yards square. 3/4 of a football pitch. ish.

Blimey, does that mean my sitting room is roughly an acre in size? (It's 43,560 sq ft)

That isn't a room, it's a venue.

The other guy said around 2 so a average of that would mean 10 acres would be around 15 football pitches ( roughly ) ?

An acre is 220 yards x 22 yards. (1/8th of a mile x 1/80th of a mile)

Approx 196m x 19.6m for those who don't speak both "country and western". Approx 2.6 acres - 1 hectare.

Size of acre is based on what one man with one horse could plough in one day.

A football pitch as no fixed size in the ganes rules but must be between 100 and 130 yards long and between 50 and 100 yards wide.
