though the only CCC i've read recently i really enjoyed as it had good features AND supplier listing's for pretty much every car ever made!!!
including the mk 1 cav, which as you may imagine is not the easiest car to get performance mods for!!!
It's my fault, sorry every one.. 
I had just cancelled my subscription and was wondering why I hadn't received my £15 in the post!! Doh!
To be honest, I thought the magazine was going down hill recently. It was getting way too Lax Power IMO and seemed to only show articles with boosted up Scooby's, EVO's and Elises.
Shame to see it go though, although i cancelled my subscription i am sure I would have carried on buying a few copies.

There is a post on another BBS from the editor. Apparently its no longer economically viable so has been cancelled
I think it leaves a big gap in the market as it was the only proper tuning mag, and retro focussed magazines leave a lot of gaps in their coverage.

Echo the general sentiments here though: Once great and and inspirational, went down hill a couple of years ago, seemed to pick up with the arrival of Mr Kirk, but lately continued its decent
Dave Walker's bit apart, become a bit too much about cheque-book tuning I think?

I have bought that mag since I was about 13. The only magazine I have consistantly bough, while others have come and gone. (even went out buying up 60's/70's back issues)
Echo the general sentiments here though: Once great and and inspirational, went down hill a couple of years ago, seemed to pick up with the arrival of Mr Kirk, but lately continued its decent

I'm another person with a subscription to CCC, I always enjoyed Dave Walker's and Mark Hales' articles, their technical writing couldn't be found elsewhere in the (non-marque specific) magazine market. Some of the other content was a little weak, to be fair.
Hopefully a title like Retro will expand its scope to include newer cars like the Elise, Caterham, Westfields.

Crikey that is sad news, my brother and I used to read it for hours cover to cover, I remember one article a tuned Morgan +8 with fancy 60's paintwork, race tuned engine, etc. It was called Morgana La'Fey or something, think she was one of Merlin's or King Arthur's bints. Well it made an impression on me! Rich...

Unfortunatly mate Laxxy power is the biggest selling mag by a very very long way, somat like 250,000 circulation on the ABC figures, whereas EVO is approx 64,000. (I doubt CCC achived even half the evo figs, in fact sub 20k is likely)
So unfortuntly it will be around for a while yet.
I've read CCC for approx 15 yrs but did feel it had gone downhill lately, should have stuck with its original format- ie for proper enthusiasts rather than the watered down & wishy washy lack of direction mag it seemed to be in its later issues.
Sad its gone tho, but it can live in the same 'shame they are gone' room as Motor, Performance Car & Fastlane- which was one of my faves.
Bugger This is my favourite car mag and one of only two that I bought every month (the other being EVO). I realy hope dave walkrs workshop column ends up in anther mag as it always made facinating reading.
PS a like Retro but will it srvive if something like CCC cant ?
PPS IMO Lax lawnmower only sells because young lads find buying porn to be embarasing !
