A is Motorcycles, with or without sidecar.
BE is Motor cars or light vans with up to 8 passenger
seats and up to 3500kg with a heavy trailer.
G is Road rollers
H is Tracked vehicles.

So essentially you've got a provisional entitlement to learn to drive these vehicles whilst learning (subject to other conditions like supervision, L plates, CBT, insurance etc etc) without having to apply for other categories on your ticket.

To conclude you can learn to ride a bike by doing your theory and CBT without having to send your licence back to the DVLA for an alteration.

Hmmmm. So I couldn't drive a Tesla on my current licence. So much for wanting us not to let the naughty carbons escape.
