Aston Martin One-77
New limited edition carbon fibre Aston to arrive next year

Aston One-77
Aston Martin has released an image of the stunning new One-77 which is expected to arrive next year. The company says the car would be based on a sophisticated carbon fibre chassis with a handcrafted aluminium body.
It would be powered by a 7.0-litre V12 and will be produced in very limited numbers. The number of potential customers could be fairly limited too as the car is likely to have a price tag of over £1million.

Ditto, if you have c£120K to spend on an AM you are hardly worried about paying your mortgage!
Car looks awesome, just make it cheaper and sell loads, not just 77.

Where does it say they'll produce 77? I doubt they would sell 77 of them at £1,000,000.

The clue is in the website name, or even more obvious in the website name at the bottom of the last pic that Fetchez la vache posted, or even in the fact the car is called one-77 I reckon they will have no problem selling 77 of them at all, I guess we will see though. Think about it, all they need are 77 Aston fanatics worldwide with plenty of cash and they are all gone. I reckon they could do it on a promise of the car alone.

I think the 'pitch' is "we will accept orders for this car, but limit the total to 77" rather than "we'll make 77 and see who buys them". As bespoke cars, that is the only way they can really do it.
That way, if they only sell 25, no-one will really know for years, until they come onto the so-called open market - which considering the price is closed to all but this small group for who one million really isn't a lot of money, may not be for a while. David Dowsey's book shows what AML can do for the seriously rich collector.
Mind you, the post-DB9 generation of production cars may well include a carbonfibre chassis researched with this car......
