Thanks Justin,

My T350 doesn't have the central speaker or the cubby hole for the tireweld, if you have either of these you should be able to access the badges by removing them.

My rear badge took me over 4 hours to get off, first I had to remove the trim that covers the rear light clusters and the boot locking mechanism, this had been stuck in a couple of places so took a while to remove it. Once this was out the way, I then had to peel back the carpet all the way alone the rear of the boot. This had been glued all over so took paitiences and a very careful screwdriver to free it all. Removing the carpet revealed a panel that was secured with 6 screws. I removed the panel and was able to gain access to the nuts on the back of the badge, even these were a little tricky to remove. But putting it all back together was a lot easier, having done it all once.

If I was nearer I would have been able to help out.

Hope this helps.

Justin,

I am sure someone on here will be able to let you know how to remove the rear badge through the cubbyhole.

what did you use to refurbish them, is that spray or a re-chrome

I orginially wanted to have them re-chromed, but was advised by a couple of companies that they would 'more-than-likely' corrode again because of the type of metal. They would have to treat them, which could be expensive. The next option was to buy replacements, again a little costly and no guarantee that they would not corrode again.

So i dedcided to refurbish the old ones. The old badges where firstly cleaned up, then I had them zinc coated to stop any further corrosion, then they where powder coated, which should now last a lot longer than just 2 years. They are not as shiny as the original chrome ones, but now they look similar to the finish on the spiders.
