hi guys
found out after getting tyres changed yesterday that both rear wheels have cracks appearing around the middle where the bolt holes are.
any thoughts on replacing these? anyone got any standard wheels for sale?
are the ones on noble mods (Compomotive MO) maybe the best way to go? anyone tried these?
cheers

I have a full set of standard wheels for sale if you are interested. Currently have a near new set of corsa's on them. Happy to take them off if required.
PM if interested.

Hi
I have a similar problem with the standard wheels.
What are the options for aftermarket apart from the Noblemods.
Wheels needed for mainly track use.
Cheers

Hi Conleth - saw Shrek this morning and he told me of the probs you have with the rear wheels. I had one with similar cracks appearing about a year ago (obviously replaced it), but I'm looking to change all four for something a little (alot) stronger and lighter. Alex has pretty well described the choice, but I can't say I'm thrilled with the look of any of them. Standard Dymags would be best for track, but they look like tractor wheels (IMO). I quite like the ones Pinnacle (USA) has and will follow up source of these.found out after getting tyres changed yesterday that both rear wheels have cracks appearing around the middle where the bolt holes are.

I have a set of dymags, which are being refurbed at dymag as we speak, but only got them for the weight saving rather than the looks.
Will let you know the response from Steve at Salica.
the noblemods ones are just over £1000 delivered, which seems to be a few hundred cheaper than the next available option, is this another case of getting what you pay for or are they likely to be a sturdy motorsports wheel which should be up to the job? anyone any experience?
know what you mean rob about the look, the noblemods ones are ok, not stunning though

Compomotive are a quality wheel maker.
Rob, pinnacles wheels are CCW classic/4's 3 piece split rims.
Prices look quite reasonable.

Does anyone have a price for the wheels used by pinnacle, which I beleive are CCW classic/4's 3 piece split rims.
Thanks
Andrew
I reckon on about £1750 for a set with duty,VAT & shipping, which ain't bad. Downside is that if they are not quite right when you get them....Thanks
Andrew
AlexS and I are still pondering.

Would someone please post up details on what the cracks look like along with their location/s - photos preferred. As our motors are getting old
I think a mass safety inspection is in order.
Rob- this is a shot of where mine went. Wheel was just over 1 yr old (typical). Penknife across the break line confirmed this was not a superficial paint defect. Visuals are OK (if you're lucky) but the only way to really make sure is to take to a wheel engineer and get them x-rayed (or whatever else it is they do to test them).
I think a mass safety inspection is in order.Too many examples of these wheels 'going' - that's why I'm looking for a new set.

Edited to add that this wheel was sent back to Noble for comment by my dealer - needless to say there was no comment. Wheel scrapped.
