The ultima will be entering its seventh year in Feb and is beginning to show a few battle scars. I was thinking of spraying the car but have been looking at Raccoon Wrapping. I believe to be the best and less likely to leave the GRP with cut marks. Not sure on color but was thinking this could be an option!

I had also thought about the wrap-route, but wasn't so sure about how the 'join-lines' would look.

The metallic wraps are a problem on cars with curves according to those guys.
Apparently they show too many wrinkles.
Gallardos have a more angular form and take the wrap easier.

Yo Guy, I was going this route with the lime green, so that when I sold it, you had a choice green or back to black, but having seen a couple, its the joins over the rear clip and front wheel arches that are the problem, and it is as expensive to wrap, as it is to spray, so I went for the spray, if i remember it would still have to be stripped of the furnature, ie wing mirrors, vents, etc due to shrinkage. Hey best of luck whichever way you go !

Don't go for chrome mate!

Saw a 599 recently in a stainless steel, but just looked odd?

Matt black with gloss accents?

Or go for a custom design I reckon.

Blue,

I have a couple of suppliers who would do that for you.

PM and I'll put you in touch.

I sent off for a sample of the wrap used for the chrome Gallardo. I did get a small sample by return along with an explanation that it could be polished to a high lustre. To be fair it was flexible and 'stretch-able' but as far as chrome effect goes, well if you've ever noticed a roll of Bako kitchen foil, one side is shiny and chrome like and the flip side is not. Guess which side the chrome wrap looks like ??.
