Well, correct me if I'm wrong (I often am), but does the post above not indicate that GTR-TT is modifying the floor and introducing a rear-diffuser... sound pretty SERIOUS to me!
You are not necessarily wrong, just a little 'wet behind the ears'
as we all once were as newbies
The Ultima is flawed in as much as there is little room for ground effects design and the biggest problem with regards to a diffuser is the fact that the transaxle is too low and far back in the chassis ( or the body too short if you like) and there simply is not enough physical room to create something that will give any appreciable benefit. I have never been over interested in exploring this avenue but have discussed it with a good few experienced people that have and it is just not a viable proposition, that is unless you are prepared to get very very SERIOUS

Just posted and re-read this and it may come across as a little condescending; It is not meant to

Without some SERIOUS modifications it is not possible to create ground effect on an Ultima.
The Ultima will never be a perfect ground effect car thats for sure. But even a simple flat floor with some rake creates down force. A very simple mod that will be a big inprovement over stock. There's room for improvements... My side sills that makes the middle of the car flat and level made the car better in high speed turns and braking. The splitter made the car grippier in the front, less high speed understeer. A flat floor behind the engine helps and there is enough room for a rear diffucer that actually works. Far from perfect, but better.

Hi GTR-TT, did you get a chance to finish up the bottom of the car, flat bottom and a revised version of the rear diffuser? Would great if someone create a ground effects package for the Ultima. on track days, bolt it on, put on some slicks and see how it does...
Since we started to design the long tail rear and the new front that project halted. The stuff works but it's not a "kit". It's not very hard to do by yourself. Not sure about the slicks though, the R Kumhos has sick grip and I for sure wouldn't trust my suspension parts with more load than they already get. These cars are insanely quick with R tires. I plan to upgrade to the factorys ball jointed suspension parts this winter. I think thats probably the bests upgrade that can be done to these fantastic cars.
