Damned credit crunch. A freshly rebuild 4.3 Saggy in the best colour for 35k, pretty good value!

3 years old, high mileage for the type of car, holding at 50% of value ...mmm...seems about right...like other desirable cars - F430, Vantage etc are all 50% 3 years old.

...to see even more scary depreciation, take a look at Bentleys..or even high end German stuff like M6s - £90K new, £30K at 3 years ...or £130K new...£40k etc

average cars are lucky to hold 35-40% of value at 3 years old, without the 'credit crunch' crap so for Sagaris to hold 50% at 3 years for the highest mileage, oldest ones seems fair to be honest

sure it would be nice for them to go for more...but its not happening right now

shame really , as ours will be for sale in the New Year...and thats an 06 with 30K miles .....

I think a Sagaris with 43k miles for £25k is spot on, I mean the ones with 10k miles are still commanding high 30's and I`ve lost very little putting an extra 4k on mine in the last 7 months...

I`m sure they will get a few queries on that biggrin

Most of those I've seen for sale seem over priced.. this one with the high milage .. is spot on.

I sort of agree, but cars that have done less than 10000 miles and condition reflectiong that lower mileage command a substantial premium.

I think the high mileage car will be pretty much price fixed. The more expensive low mileage cars will be negotiable (especially at the moment) so the diffrence in reality will probably by 12 or 13K and I don't think that's too far off the mark -assuming the Fernies car is pukka and not accident repaired.

Just wondering, approximately how much of the price drop at the moment for TVRs is winter prices and how much is the credit crunch having an impact? Also does it look like the Mk 2 Sag is having an impact on prices?

With so little Sagaris' available the prices have been fairly static over the last year, infact they aren`t much different from when I purchased mine in Jan '08

A few private sellers are asking prices that are a good few thousand less than this time last year but the dealers seem quite happy to stick with the same prices.

In difficult times some people just have to sell so you may find a few bargains around. But at least some dealer's are still buying Sag's for stock (was offered again a couple of weeks ago) as I'm told they usually don't hang around long. That is why the dealer prices are pretty static, simple supply and demand. November to March always have been quiet for TVR sales though so with the extra finance problems you may be able to negotiate with cash in hand. Don't expect too many favours on Sag's though.

Well it seems that someone has grabbed a bargain and well and truly ripped Fernhurst's arm off!

I bet they wish they'd added a few grand more now. It would've have still been sold as fast if it had been 27.5k I'll wager.

I had a good test drive of that car,and was really impressed with it,I was desparatly trying to get the dough together but it looks like i was beaten to it frown,I would have waited for it to go pop and got the Power 4.3 in it.

Its so hard when you see a car you want BUT you have to sell your existing car to raise some of the money!
Never mind in the Spring i WILL have a Sagaris i just love em lick

Had a rebuild in April, but it didnt go bang. In fact they didnt find any parts worn. It was put down to foreign bodies. 'Silicone'

Work that one out!

Given a choice now, and the expense an LS is the way to go. I think theres a few TVR's on here with them transplanted.

Cheers. I was the one talking to you about yours, but then I had to fall in love with another...(sorry). But I'm making sure I know about anything that could go wrong, and what I can do about it!

Why hasn't this gone? It is priced close the car that has just sold. Arguably, nicer colour and I have to say I am attracted to the mileage. Been regularly used but not abused!

Looks marvellous.

If I was in the market for one that would be top of my list along with the swordfish one similarly priced, bet they sell soon.
