Hi,
I have agreed with the organisers of the 'Race of Champions' to provide TVRs for a race-driver parade lap at the RoC event being held at Wembley on Dec 14th 2008.

I need 4 Tuscan 2 convertibles to complete the line up.

Drivers inc:
M. Schumacher
J. Button
D. Coulthard
M. Webber
S. Vettel
S. Leob
A. Prilaux

and others to be confirmed.....

You also need to be available on sat 13th Dec in case we have to have a practice session, although at the time of writing this has yet to be confirmed.

So; if you have a T2conv and want to drive a world famous race-driver around Wembley then e-mail right now. First come, first served......

E: don.hastie@hotmail.co.uk

RoC will confirm full details once I have confirmed to them I have the required cars, so send your e-mails in boys and girls. the sooner I have them, the sooner it all gets finalised!

This is a once only opportunity to drive some of the World's best drivers and get up real close (touching) to them!

E: don.hastie@hotmail.co.uk

Thanks
Don Hastie

PS. The event is on Sky so you and your Tiv could be broadcast to over 200 countries.

PPS. E-mail right now: don.hastie@hotmail.co.uk

I assume that this is a total wind up?

The event charges £18 for the cheapest adult ticket. It seems to be sponsored by Autosport and Tag Heuer among others. It has a whole section on its website devoted to marketing opportunities.

Suddenly it wants 16 of the world's best and best known drivers to be driven around a purpose built track at Wembley Stadium in 4 second-hand sports cars of unknown age and condition, from a defunct company? Even allowing these stars to be driven by the joe public owners of these cars?

Really? So the organisers would not simply call the press department of the major motor manufacturers and ask for cars, even a fee, for product placement?

They would leave it until just over a month before the event is to take place, to some chap on an internet enthusiasts forum to find the cars?

Really?

As they say.....when something sounds too good to be true, it usually is.

And he is back - the same thing was requsted for IIRC the A1 GP to take the drivers on a parade lap.

Please, please get rid of the Tuscan (if you still have it) the marque doesn't need miserable tts like you.

Also PH would not allow advertisements like that - the OP would have had to clear it with PH first.

The usual negative drivel
Does it not occur to you that some people have contacts, enthusiasm and the will to do something rather than just post negatives?

I imagine your bed on some sort of platform that you fall off when you get out of it? 'cos it seems to me you end up getting out the wrong side EVERY morning.

Tell Coulthard i'll take him in the Cerbera, and i'll even let him hang out of the window Dukes of Hazzard style, he'd look better doing that than in an open top Tuscan wink

Good luck with your quest though thumbup sound great.

I can Confirm that The Request is Genuine, DON has worked very Hard to Get TVR's at major Events Including The GP Masters, where he also managed to borrow Mansels championship winning Williams and also get Nigel To come and speak to all the TVR Owners.

SO If you have a Tuscan Vert Drop Don a line.

The event is also endorsed by the TVRCC

Only round the edges to keep the fee paying customers dry, not over the pitch!

Oh, whats the point of having a moving roof then?

The roof slides back on one side, and the two ends and is only to allow extra sunlight onto the pitch to improve drainage and growth rates. Clearly wont make much difference when there is 2000 tons of tarmac on it!
