Hi,

Does anyone know which Recaro seats are pictured in a White GTR pictured on this forum, the pictures of it show a carbon fibre roof scoop being installed?

Ive tried copying and pasting but alas i have failed.

Also any advise re opting for none factory spec seats?
Not to fussed about upsetting the boys over there but i am not prepared to sacrifice the build quality over something so small.

Any seating suggestion would be appreciated.

I think you will find the factory seat has quite a bit more rake than any in the aftermarket. This will be impossible to deal with if the driver is even slightly tall.

As Steve said, i had some Noble seats fitted to my GTR and one they did not utilise the lowered floor properly and two they did not offer enough headroom if you were over 6 ft, no chance if you wanted to wear a helmet.

Martin Law has a set of almost brand new alcantara seats for sale if you want to pm him? martinlaw

Mark, as Steve says, if you are over around 5 11" or have a long body, you will not fit in (espeically with a helmet) unless you use Ultima seats - I know as I have tried.

For info - Fibreglass and possibly Carbon fibre seats are available to suit the Ultima from JK Composites, rake is taken care of, they also supply the seat to fit Lotus Europas :-)

- other than the fact I have used them before - no other link with me.

Good work too, as I say I have used these guys, the quality is up there, the service is excellent.

Nice and very modern looking seat. Question the support in case of tracking.

It's surprisingly good, the Ultima suitable ones aren't on the website but they use a sturdy on the base which stretches up the back to add strength. Of course carbon ones will be even stronger.

Hi,

I was up there a week or two ago and they had a problem with their web and email access, changing from one provider to another so if you don't hear back in a day or so away it will be worth giving them a call.

I would be interested to hear how you get on. My seats are getting a bit tatty now and so was thinking of either re covering or starting again. The issue has always been the size/rake etc of the ultima seats which are just right...and how close to the floor the seat is.

Would be interested to know what you find....
