Now if I lived somewhere like Barbados, that would be a complete laugh, and much better and safer than a Moke.

That's the coolest thing! If I had a garage... I probably still wouldn't buy one, but I love it anyway! Just wait for Brabus to bring out a kit for it: www.brabus-online.de/prog00e.htm

Actually I'm not sure I like it... sorry to be unpredictable !

Like one of you already pointed out, why not just get a bike? oh, I already have. Ermmmmm, it's easy for me to say good things about my Smart, 'cos it keeps my head dry when it rains, and saves loads of petrol for the bike.

but - no roof????? whoa! steady on there. That's a bit too mad even for me. 70 horse motor is cool though, but I can get mine raised to 100bhp for 250 squids.

You should see the "Roadster", if you like LOW cars.

Oh dear, this looks like a regular Smart that's had a run in with a (very) low bridge. I agree with rob.ellis why not just get a motorbike (still carries two people)

I seem to remember seeing a pic of a 4 seater Smart concept - any one else remember it?

Cheers,
JSG.

yep. Didn't see the point in that either !!!!
It's a specialist vehicle, and packed with more technology than you'd beleive. These variants seem like diluting the originality for the sake of making an impression.

I think the point is for people how live around here (Sud du France). Its the sort of thing I could imagin having down here, to pop to the beach in, or the shops , or 'nip' into town in. Total waist of time , but kinda funky and different - stand out from all the twingo's...

My gran's got something akin to this Crossblade thingy....she uses it to go to the shops.

I think it's battery powered.

Why not just get a motorbike?

1. Crossblade doesn't fall over when it stops;
2. It HAS got a decent-sized secure boot for luggage;
3. Everyone but everyone sees it; no-one says "I didn't see you!"

I actually drove one today (don't ask how/why!), and have to say that it's a right laugh

It's all show, no go. But it sounds nice, and is ideal for the hot weather. The looks you get are amusing, and people were asking us questions about it at traffic lights!

It does actually have a reasonable boot, but I'd hardly call the car practical! No windscreen means windblast at motorway speeds is horrendous! And you can see the road by your feet, which is disconcerting when in a car!
Plus they're all left-hookers, and obv have no rear-view mirror, which feels a bit odd!

Great fun though, and ideally suited to cruising seafronts in hot climates...
The guy who owned the one that I had a go in uses it to drive to work every day

Amazingly in the past six months ive seen three of these incredibly rare Smart Crossblades.

Two were for sale on ebay,one in Scotland and the other in Yorkshire and were being offered for offers over £8000.

When new they were over £15,000 but were an acquired taste.

Superb fun in warm weather but very exposed driving.

All the interior was covered in special plastic with even drain holes in the floor for all the rain water to escape.

The third one i still believe is still parked in Manchester Smarts salesroom.

It was there last year and up until last June.

I'm surprised no other manufacturer have been brave enough to produce a simillarly styled car as i believe Smart donot have the copyright for the design.

Until you can see one in the flesh you cannot imagine what an extream car it is.

Lovely fun in hot countries a bit extream in British winters.

There is one is my hometown in Northern Ireland used to advertise a funky bar/club. Black with red interior. Looks awesome on a sunny day.
