Any advice would be appreciated on the following.
The battery on my mothers 2003 tt appears to be on its last legs (lazy starting etc.) and I was wondering if an alternative/superior/cheaper battery from another manufacturer was available or should I just put an OEM part on again. Btw, how much do Audi charge for replacement batteries these days?

Cheers...

No idea about Audi, but I've just had a new battery put in today. Cost from my local is £52 for a standard, and £58 for one with a 3yr warranty.

I had bought one from a particular national chain of car accessory parts, only to get it home and find it didn't fit. Thought it was me just being a numpty, but the 096 as sized by their in-store guide is completely wrong. An 027 or an 075 HD are the right ones so I'm led to believe...

Remember to have your radio code handy, and you may have to do a window reset once you've replaced the battery.

Thanks for that, I'll bear that in mind about the codes when I disconnect the old one. She'd be a bit cheesed off of she couldn't listen to Radio 2 anymore!
