Racing Green TVR is holding an open day to launch its new one-piece FFF cylinder head and re-developed Speed Six engine. TVR owners and prospective owners are all welcome from 09:00 to 16:00 on Saturday Feb 28 2009.

The FFF demonstrator will be available for pre-booked test drives to show the benefits of these new designs. Racing Green will also be showing all of its available upgrades for the Speed Six engine.

OMEX will be displaying new products including the brand new OMEX 710 engine management system for all Speed Six engines. The company said that the upgrade offers noticeable tuning and performance benefits.

QUAIFE will be exhibiting their Automatic Torque Biasing Helical LSD for TVRs and a new 6-speed sequential gearbox, which is being developed for Racing Green TVR.

To book a test drive in the T350 FFF Engine demonstrator, or the Tuscan 2 OMEX ECU demonstrator, please contact Chris Chevasco via 01252 894 795 or chrisc@racinggreencars.com. Racing Green is located in Ash Vale, Hampshire, GU12 5QD.

I'll be there, looks to be an awesome day. =D

Anyone want to sell me their TVR Cerbera (AJP8) while I'm there?

We'll see about that, I don't plan on giving it up anyway, there should always be a drop top on hand.

Interested in the new gearbox. Is it likely to be the Type-9 variant they have sold to Caterham... perhaps with revised gearing suitable for a TVR? That one is supposed to be capable of handling 400lbft and would easily sit where a T5 normally does.

Good, great cars. However, as for drop top on hand....Chim, Griff, Tam......? Some damned good prices on Chims at RG. (I know, even cheaper going private)

Hi Guys,

977. You will find Cerbs are at Racing Green - including a very lovely Cerb 4.0 Speed Six (see www.racinggreentvr.com and check "Cars for Sale").

ThreeSpires. Does Peter Hugo have a copy of that picture ? As you obviously know, the XK120 your Dad once owned is in our upstairs showroom - plus many other classic Jaguars and a superb XJS too.

Those of you who are hoping that we will stay open until 17:00, or longer, just give me a bell on 078 10 50 50 59 if you are running late. But I will have eaten all the donuts by then !

Best Regards
Chas

Hello Chas,

Yes, Peter has all copies of the pictures & info I have on LOE 3. I popped into Racing Green to meet him a couple of years ago on my way home from Goodwood. A limited Edition model of the car was made by Corgi in the '80's, Peter has a superbly made model of the car that he commissioned displayed in the showroom.

In the early '70's I saw LOE 3 for sale in Moter Sport for £850, I wanted to buy it, but my Dad wouldn't lend me the money as he complained that as he'd sold it for £250, why should he buy it back for £850 ?

Ahhh how many similar stories are there out there ?

My Mum at Shelsley, note the cut off rear wings and cushion on the seat, she was just 4' 10".

Dad at Prescott - I think ?

Chas,

I'm definitely coming, but I'll be later than I orginally planned, as I have a funeral to attend to in the morning...

Cheers,
Pascal

Looks more like Wales or Scotland than Hastings.

Not having a TVR (sadly) & never having seen a Speed Six unit I was curious is that how the standard exhaust header pipes look ?

Seems a bit tortuous to me-it's a wonder the gas gets out at all. confused
