With eurosprt losing the motoGP last year I thought sod it I'm jacking in sky and getting a foxsatPVR. This finally turned up the other day and is great. The problem is eurosport have the motoGP again and I'd like to be able to watch it. the freesat box has a slot for a CIM. The questions are where can I get a CIM and a card to allow me to watch eurosport and whilst I'm at it motors TV with out having to continue to subscibe to sky? Is this possible?
Oh and whilst I'm asking why isn't DAVE on freesat?

Also interesting in simlar questions - am quite happy with Freeview, but my telly also has a satellite decoder on it (and the slot thingies) so was wondering about free HD and free sport. I have no interest at all in paying oodles per month for a shed load of channels I'll never watch, nor paying even more to get sports channels full of football/golf/dullness - but skiing and a splodge of motorsport wouldn't go amiss...

The answer is no to both. Only option is to subscribe to Sky.

Dave is not on Freesat because they have not agreed to be on the platform, same with Sky channels like Sky News etc.

You can get Eurosport on Top Up TV through a Freeview/Top Up TV Box.

So I was imagining there being any HD on Freesat. Bugger.

You will get BBC HD (Channel 108) and ITV HD (Via Red Button) on Freesat. More will come on line as the years go on.

Sorry, didn't see the HD question in your post. As he said, BBC & ITV HD on Freesat. If you get an HD box or HD TV receiver.

motoGP is on the bbc but the commentators get on my t*ts. The eurosport coverage is much better even with add breaks.

Righty, didn't think I'd totally missed the boat! Well I have a telly wot does HD-ness, and has a Satellite input as well as a terrestrial aerial one.... so I'm guess that'd be enough, all I would need is a dish of some sort...?

Yep you just need a dish, Argos and various other stores or Independant Installation Companies can install a dish for under £80, Argos even do a DIY kit with everything included (even a basic sat finder) for under £50. http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/S...
