Ferrari Sets Up Shop In London

Ferrari F1 driver Kimi Räikkönen cuts the ribbon at new tifosi shop

The first UK Ferrari Store has opened its doors in London’s Regent Street.

The prestigious brand already has official stores in upmarket retail centres like Rome, Barcelona, Macao and Abu Dhabi, and the latest London venture was opened this morning by Ferrari’s F1 star Kimi Räikkönen,

Ferrari says its new outlet will offer a wide selection of products from the Prancing Horse ranges for GT car clients, F1 tifosi, and Ferrari enthusiasts.

Apparently a network of 40 stores is planned, with other locations opening in Europe, America and the Middle East over the next three years.

Went to the one is Rome, was okay but the mark up was simply unrealistic especially in the current financial climate.

If you're planning on "selling out" then I suppose it's only natural that you would open a shop. rolleyes

Been to the ones in Venice and Maranello. Shame the merch is so homogenised, but that's how it is these days.

Prestigious brand?

Piffle.

The cars are magnificent.

The umbrellas and mousemats are embarrasing tat.

They do sell parts off F1 cars/road cars, but rediculas to be a considered purchase.

Been to the one in Venice before and oddly walked past this on Monday afternoon - I just assumed it had been there for a while...

When did it officially open? Would be a bit gutted if I'd inadvertently walked past Kimi

I bet his opening speach, if he made one, was droningly dull.

Gotta pay for a new diffuser some how.

I work about 100 metres down the road from this, its been open for at least a month now, got some cool stuff in there, F1 cars, F1 engines etc, geeky stuff for us car geeks, but i honestly fail to believe anyone would ever buy anything from there.

Anyway, i saw the opening this morning so thought i'd share the few photos i managed to get, just about got Kimi in one of them, he did not look happy, but seemed to love the 250 GTO, and the 308, some beautiful machinery lined up on Conduit Street.

The 308 is a 288 GTO. Misleading plate.

That 250 GTO is Nick Mason's (you can see him at the edge of the frame on Kimmi's right in photo 6).

I'd happily loose a kidney for that 288 GTO.
