Duxford - American Air Day & Car Show - Attendees List

Tony will be sent all the passes to distribute, and has suggested that we could all meet up at the M11 services immediately before the Stansted slip road about five miles from Duxford on the London side. (Birchanger Green Services Junction 8 South of Duxford) Anyone not able to make the meeting point, Tony will happily mail them their pass. We HAVE to be at Duxford at the latest by 1000hrs so perhaps we could meet at the services by 0915 with the intention of leaving by 0930.
Lakenheath are inviting us to take part in the American Air Day at Duxford on Friday 21st August 2009 as there will be an American car section. It looks like it will be a great day with plenty of flying.
Building on the successes of the past two years, the 2009 American Air Day will once again showcase the work of the United States Air Force in Europe and, in particular, the Third Air Force, based in the United Kingdom.
The day comprises a rich mixture of flying and ground-based displays, including fly-pasts by many of the USAFE aircraft based in East Anglian, flown from RAF Mildenhall and RAF Lakenheath.
On the ground, USAF personnel will be showcasing their work in the UK as well as explaining some of the more intricate details of their aircraft, equipment and their missions.
As before, the day will also feature displays by Duxford-based historic aircraft, acknowledging the historic link between Duxford and the United States Air Force that dates back to 1918 and is represented today by the stunning American Air Museum in Britain.

Please add your name to the list below if you are interested in attending: A little bonus is that we are invited guests and therefore have free admission, however please note you need to be pre-booked on this event for security reasons, there is no TBA as we were asked to provide details to the USAF of vehicle, registration names of passengers and dates of birth, this was advised at the Lakenheath show, if you want to attend but have not pre booked then please PM me and I will send you my contact in the USAF who is responsible for our display as part of the USAF.
Vehicles will be parked on grass and you choose from protected or public can have a sit, get close etc, entrance is between 8:00 and you must be in place by 10:00 no late entry will be allowed and you can NOT leave until the public have left at 18:00 as no vehicle movements are allowed.
