1985 or 1986 I think. My Dad`s Audi 100CS (the aerodynamic one...for the time) was an A reg and I`m pretty certain that was an `84 car.

My mum and dad both had C plate car's and they were definately 86 model year cars.

In Scotland it was August 85.

As far as I am aware, England and the rest of the UK were the same.

You're all wrong, C came out in 1965. My iris blue 1985 MGB ( with Bermuda hardtop ~ cool or what ? ) I can still remember the reg: GGY 581 C ..... although over 40 years ago ...

If its a new style plate the prefix's changed, YP is Sheffield.
