Before I buy an Oettle sports exhaust...
Discussion
i had 2 exhausts from oettle each time for boxster s. I loved them both.
Amazing for the money. Smart-simple transformation.
I just ordered from them for the gt3. Hope it will turn out to be as exciting as the previous two.
For boxster, there is nothing better imho. Trust me i hav been searching a lot!

By the way, I love your wrapped GT3...one day, may well do mine...Riviera blue please :-)
£600?
H+S will fit the bypass pipes to your existing back box for £250. If their location (Essex) isn't right there's plenty of close up pics on the net and it's a simple fabrication job to any decent custom exhaust place for similar money - prior to my crash I had agreed the job with a place in Cardiff.

What about switchable? Is this possible too?H+S will fit the bypass pipes to your existing back box for £250. I'm still toying with the idea as well - I've bought a set of manifolds for my 2.7, but probably won't fit them till I go further with an oettle - if I ever bother. The missus has made it quite clear that she "likes it the way it is", and I'm not sure aggro is worth the extra noise. If I bump into an oettle'd up car I'd be able to be sure!

I think if this is what is required the PSE is probably the better option.
I did some research into this re: a DIY 'switchable' solution. Looking at the bypass pipes it seems fairly simple to introduce a ball valve into the extra pipes, which can be manually adjusted to be open or closed as required.
I called a specialist ball valve manufacturer and they could supply appropriate valves and pipework to connect into a bypass pipe for around £120. This would provide a manual solution whereby you could adjust the valves under the rear bumper to suit your mood.
Now, the ball valves they supply are guaranteed for a 100% seal only up to 180 degrees - I'm not sure how hot the exhaust gases are but I'm pretty sure they are hotter. However that is just the teflon coating on the valve - ie if the temp exceeded that of the valve rating then the valve would let through a small amount of gases - but not enough to add to exhaust noise.
A bit agricultural, but basically 350 squid gives you a manually adjustable oettle mod.

I am toying with the Oettle bypass (more accurately getting Wrightune to do the same thing) for my 996 Cab but would really like to hear one in the flesh before going ahead and booking it in.
Is anyone in London/South East that has had it done and would be willing to let me come and hear it and maybe come for a quick passenger ride to hear it from the inside?
