bks to most of those.

Try North Island in the Seychelles to start. Then try serious yacht charters or island rentals to really see what expensive means.

Can't see that list being particularly accurate. I used to live in Jumeirah, and have been on holiday to dubai a few times. I'm far from being rich or wealthy.

Also been to monte carlo, yep it's generally expensive but I'd bet there's a lot more places out there that'd put it considerably further down an accurate list.

how exactly do you think people on MSN are going to have a clue about expensive holidays?

The list is a load of cobblers in this context. There's no denying it.

For starters it's not even consistent, some of the places are hotels, others cities. In terms of being the most expensive places to go on holiday in the world, none of them are in the top 10.

Sure, you can go there and spend a lot of money, or pay a lot of money to stay there, but as Zod rightly points out, go see how much some of the more exclusive places are to go on holiday, millions. You can probably do a week in Jumeirah for not much more than a grand pp. It won't exactly be the last word in plush oppulence mind.

I'm guessing a week on Branston Pickles Island would cost a pretty penny...

IIRC it was 25 grand a week on the advert my wife shoved in front of me the other week - and that was when sharing the place with other couples!

Judging by the yachts moored in the harbour and a couple of much bigger ones moored offshore, the Costa S may justify its place on the list.

Although why if you had that sort of money you'd want to moor up to be gawped at by the likes of me, goodless only knows (or maybe that was the point?)

Certainly agree with Porto Cervo in Sardinia...super expensive weekend there last year..!!

Point proven by partying at "Billionaire" the club owned by Flavio Briatore. Ridic.

I was lucky enough to get a trip to Necker Island a few years ago (I wasn't paying), the most incredible place I have ever been.
