Whilst hitting a pothole of some description on the M25, one of the rear cans of the Tuscan decided to deconnect itself by breaking at the welds. I managed to totally remove the can and pipe going into the rear box and this is currently sitting in my boot. Obviously reconnecting it would be a great idea but need a garage who's handy with a welder.

I am currently working and staying in Cambridge and will be for the rest of the week so a garage in the middle of town would be ideal. I realise Castle aren't too far away but logistically I am not going to be able to get the car there. I'll then be away for a couple of weeks so wont be able to get it to a garage nearer myself at home to solve the problem either. As such, if anyone could recommend a garage either in Cambridge town centre or on the outskirts it would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks

Nick

Offords are about 10 miles outside Cambridge along A14. There is a good local garage in Bassingbourn 10 miles out in another direction - happy to give you a lift back to Cambridge if that helps.

Not a TVR garage by any means, by Autoquick off Newmarket Road/Swanns Road are a friendly bunch of guys. If it's just a weld job might be worth a try if you're not already sorted.

Glad you have a plan. Offer still stands - although Offord usually lend a car :-), just shout if you get stuck.

This is probably way too late, but Elite Motors in Foxton, just south of Cambridge on the A10 are top people. Lotus specialists, but good with anything out of the ordinary. Speak to Terry.

GOOD LUCK!!!! Your courtesy car will probably be a OLD saab, which I thought was a and far swap for my 55K Sag. Then they destroyed my engine and told me it needs picking up on a flatbed by the AA. Give them my love!
