Hamann Reveals Tuned BMW 5-series GT
German tuner unveils tweaked version of BMW's forthcoming 5-series spin-off
Tuners seem to be jumping on new models ever faster these days. Latest to work its tuning 'magic' is German BMW tweaker Hamann, which has released these images of a worked-over 5-series GT - before the car even goes on sale.
Hamann hasn't revealed the extent of its mechanical trickery, but the SUV-estate-hatchback-coupe gets restyled front and rear bumpers and a range of undeniably chunky alloy wheels. Beneath the rims, upgraded brakes are also in evidence.
In standard form, the 5-series GT will be offered with a choice of a 302bhp twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre straight-six petrol, a 3.0-litre turbodiesel with a single turbo and 241bhp, or a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 with 401bhp (much more like it).
The 5-series GT is expected to go on sale in the UK this October.

That is disgusting!
What is it with ugly cars these days... This, Porsche Panamera, Porsche Cayenne, BMW X6, the list goes on. No one can truly say they're good looking but somehow still manage to sell...
just about (IMO) the only good looking current BMW is the new Z4. the Porsche 911 seems to divide lots of people, but i like it, and i really like the cayman and boxster. NOT panamera or cayenne styling though! Alfa do some nice cars as do some other manufacturers, but they aren't easy to find these days
