PH Meets This Sunday

Stuck for something to do this weekend? Try one of these...

For those of you at a loose end this weekend, there are two PH events to choose from on Sunday.

The Dunton Circuit
The Dunton Circuit
Charity Day at Dunton, Essex

The ‘Ride in a Supercar Day' is being hosted by Petrolhead Nirvana and Club Scuderia, and is in aid of Littlehavens Children's Hospice.

The main event will be 2-lap rides around the Ford Engineering test track at Dunton (Essex) in a variety of supercars. As a test track it is varied and should offer a pretty exciting experience for passengers, with high speed banking and long straights for the supercars to stretch their legs on. The rides require a donation to the charity.

PistonHeads parking is available too; just follow the PH smiley signs when you arrive at the Dunton facility.

PH Cheddar Gorge Meet

The South West PHers are arranging a meet at stunning Cheddar Gorge starting at 10am, with an opportunity to look around the fantastic array of machinery brought along by fellow members.

At 11am there will be a sound test to see who has the loudest exhaust (a donation of £1 to charity to enter) before heading off at 12.00 for a drive to Knowle Hall and the Blue Runners event in aid of brain injured children. These events have been hugely successful in the past and it’s well worth popping along if you are in the area.

Please see here for more information on this event

So there really is no reason to be bored on this particular Sunday - enjoy your weekend!

I spent many happy hours on that track in a previous life. Usually in a smokey S-Max balancing a laptop on my lap though.

........AND if you're in Kent, I'm doing an early morning run that winds it's way to Dunton if you fancy a more interesting drive there - details are on this thread -
