Monaro wiring diagrams
Discussion
hello folks second post in my first day!
need a wiring diagram for the 2004 5.7 monaro so i know what i need before i have to return the remains of the car back to it's owner.
Thanks for all the feed back I have had for my first post.
I know several of you had told me that this car came with tubular headers but still think this one had some newer ones fited as one of the support brackets has been attacked with a haksaw and they are 4 into 1 not 4 to 2 to 1's
Please tell one way or the other please as i do not want to butcher then if they are not standard.
Cheers again

When you say 2004 Monaro are you taking the 2004 from the reg or build plate? Firstly, forget the reg date, the build date is what counts. If the build date is prior to Sept '04, then you have a V2 model, post Sept '04 a VZ model. Both the V2 and VZ model CV8's had 5.7L LS1 engines with a cast exhauast manifold as standard. The V2 VXR has 5.7L LS1 with tubular extractors (headers) fitted by HSV as standard, and the VZ VXR has 6.0L LS2 fitted as standard by HSV with tubular extractors (headers). If, as you say, the headers look modified then they probably are aftermarket, could be Wortec, DeFillipo or others - they are probably worth hanging onto.
The 6.0 LS2 VXR did not have tubular headers, it was only the early 5.7 VXR's.
If the support bracket behind the headers has been cut, they'll most likely be aftermarket. I did the same thing to aid the fitting and replacement of the bracket when I did mine.
