Hi

I've never bought and changed my own pads. I have the 240mm discs front and rear how do I know what size to order?

Cheers
Bob

The title of the thread is Ferodo DS2500. Probably the best fast road pads you can put on a TVR!

I'd check the size of your disks first if I was you wink no cars had 240 all round, and only VERY early cars had them up front IIRC.

Normally the fronts are FCP408H I think (sorry I'm an AP user)

Hi Guys

thanks for the info. I didn't take the wheels off to check the diameter but both looked like 240mm diam.

Cheers

I don't suppose anyone has the corrct code for DS2500 pads for a '97 Chimaera 500? I've a feeling the ones I've ordered are too small.

Had some fitted to the rear by RT Racing, they purchased them from Demon Tweeks (demon-tweeks.co.uk). The code is FERFCP408H @£68.13 excl VAT & Del. I have a 400 with Estoril wheels, not sure of the disc size.

For my 500 (and from what I was told all 500's - cue dissent smile)

Rear: Ferodo FCP408H
Front: Ferodo FCP276H

Can confirm the rears fit. Not reached the front of the car yet.

So to help the original poster can someone let him know if either of the 500 discs correspond to his? My bible is not at hand. Cheers.

Fronts for the 240 mm discs are FCP206(H for DS 2500 compound). The rears are FCP408 for both early and late brakes and the fronts for 260mm discs are indeed FCP276.

Yeah...turns out the FCP206 pads don't fit a Chim 500! Word of warning, Europerformance list DS2500 pads for a 500 but they're actually for the 240mm equipped 400s. Not happy - another week without the car now. frown

Does anyone happen to know the running-in mileages?

You were indeed right my front discs are 260mm on a 1998 4.5L Chim. Thanks for all the input, I know what I'm ordering now!
Thanks Bob
