V8S Battery/Bosch Batteries

I had to replace mine earlier in the year, went with another Unipart one. The last one lasted around 5 years. I used my local motor factor, who is always really helpful. It took a couple of attempts to get the one that fitted correctly. Finding one the right size to fit the tray is an issue. Not too long, not too wide, and with the base with the flared ends to sit comfortably under the end clamp.
Just had a look in my 'book' for the invoice - but it's not there!
On the battery it says: Unipart, part no. GBA3072, EN 590, A/Hr 72, R/C 130.
Cost around £80 I think. Seems to be holding up pretty well at the moment as the car has been in the garage at home for the last 6 months, with precious few runs out. Still starting on the first turn though! Can't vouch for Bosch bits although anything else of theirs I've bought/used eg kitchen appliances and fuel pumps have always been of good quality.

I have done some googling on the Bosch Silver Batteries and they seem to get good feedback
I quite like the comfort of the 5 year warranty, although there seem to be very few that have the '+' and '-' round the right way
- a S3 007 640Amps 70Ah appears that it would fit and have enough CCA (278mm long x 175mm wide x 175mm high).
There are a number that are a similar footprint size (but 15mm higher) that have a higher CCA rating, but the battery terminals are round the other way? I assume that the more CCA you can get the better?

you may like to consider Halfords ive had several vehicles using them never had one fail as a recovery patrol person for various well known companys i offen callinto local halfords to obtain battery for members never had one fail yet in over 300 sails they will find one to fit the footprint on the V8 its an 069 i think hope this helps you guys out
